Pert, I remember stamps being 10 cents when I was a kid. I thought it was amazing that someone would pick up a letter from our mailbox, take it hundreds of miles, put it in my grandparent's mailbox, and it only cost a dime. What a deal!It really doesn't seem that long ago that stamps were 34 cents. 25 or 30 years.
I remember because it was also a dime to use a payphone. Dimes were my favorite coins... small and mighty and made the best jingly sounds.
