Granny's gone and done it again

From the AKC web site:

Boxers move like the athletes they are named for: smooth and graceful, with a powerful forward thrust. Boxers are upbeat and playful. Their patience and protective nature have earned them a reputation as a great dog with children. They take the jobs of watchdog and family guardian seriously and will meet threats fearlessly. Boxers do best when exposed to a lot of people and other animals in early puppyhood.

It also says they are from the mastiff family, are very sensitive, and can become anxious.

well what dogs are low key submissive?
Low key... mastiffs
Submissive... whippets

A lot of time it's more of an individual thing. You can tell a lot about a puppy by spending a bit of time with them. They should be interested in you, but not overbearing. A puppy that won't make eye contact is not a good candidate.

AKC website is a good place to look up breeds. They even have a section to help you see what breeds might suit your needs.
