Right. You never know really until you get them home. I didn't know much about dogs when I first met Scott. When we got married I went to the pound. Got a dog.The more I read on the net the less I believe them

Ankle biters...sometimes. Yes, I've had one, well a few during my rescue days. Rescued because of neglect not onery. I had some really sweet ones. Placed them easily.![]()
There are rats bigger !!
I belive some things on the internet. I'm pretty sure if you're going to a true breeders site they will tell the personality of the dog. Granted, dogs are different in the way they are handled. Then how do I learn? This is very frustrating.
Aww, they're beautiful, Granny!FB memories from 5 yrs ago

Mobilize to do what?
Akita was my first guess too. Or an Akita cross. Akitas were bred to hunt bears. Not an easy breed.Could be an Akita. If so, then are larger than the Norwegian.
I've never known an aggressive Collie. My neighbor had one that was protective of his fenced yard, but that's not aggression. He nipped me on the butt once when I was in his yard. Collies are protective, they are guardians. I had a Collie once, too. Great babysitter for my kids when they were small. But gentle, patient, tolerant. I heard once they could not use them in the military bc they could not teach them to attack on command. They will only attack if they perceive a threat. I can't verify that, but I believe it.We had two of these when we were children. Ours weren't aggressive. Neither are my Schnauzers. And boy, the way Ashton goes after Bella I'm surprised she hasn't bit him. Both Cooper and Bella are so good with him.
Goatheads were the bane of my existence as a kid. I never wore shoes in the summer and was forever pulling goatheads out of my feet.I have to use it. I did ask my lawn treatment guy yesterday if he could spray it..without the grass fertilization in it. This is a huge area, and the goatheads are spreading..into my good side. They hurt.
Same! Goatheads are the curse of the Southwest. I had to explain them to DH, apparently they don't grow in MO.Goatheads were the bane of my existence as a kid. I never wore shoes in the summer and was forever pulling goatheads out of my feet.
