Granny's gone and done it again

I was the one that thought he was blocked. He threw up some plastic at the hospital
But just thinking out loud here, sort of..you would think the plastic would have passed with all of that diarrhea. Possibly not. You just never know. Can you afford at least another parvo test?

Hi peeps, I have been asked to start a new /continued thread here because Grannys got a big mouth and may be responsible for some glitches on BYC .

I have been a member on here for about 3 yrs. and have posted mainly in my own thread. The old thread will not be closed but I do ask my family and any new friends to please post here.

We are a family based thread meaning that the people that post here become very close to each other. We strive to treat each other with respect and kindness. We are for the most part a mature themed group. Lots of cutting up and a little bit about chickens. Hopefully you will find homemade crafts, Gardening tips, home life, a few recipes (not mine , your welcome) Yaks galore, A whole hog-pog of chickens from mutts to high brows. and maybe a goat or two.

To my family, I am sorry I am dragging you around and all our pictures, memory's are stored somewhere else. Hopefully , together , we can begin anew like we were never interrupted.

To any that wish to jump in Welcome to Grannys.
Hi, Granny! Gigi here! Look forward to reading your posts. And all the shenanigans others will throw in.

I’m praying for you Granny. Puppies are a little funky sometimes. I know Kiki went through a TON of diarrhea and barfing and whatever else when she was a pup. The amount of times we brought her to the vet in the middle of the night is outrageous. But she was also our first dog so I guess we were just inexperienced. My brother once came into my room smiling as he explained how he fed Kiki 3 grapes and she apparently loved them. You bet we were scared out of our minds LOL. And then there’s the time the other dogs all tested positive for parvo. Kiki was tested numerous times, but always negative—it’s honestly suspicious if she didn’t get it. We kept the others quarantined and stuff, but I don’t think there’s really a way to fully prevent parvo virus. Something we tried with Kiki whenever she had loose stools or loss of appetite was bland chicken and rice. Pretty sure one of our vets recommended that to us. She also said to feed in small amounts. But then again, feeding would be an extremely bad idea if you’re dealing with parvo. It’ll just lead to more barf. IVs would be best, but that might not be an option here? Do you remember the distinct parvo smell? Does the dog’s barf smell like it? Personally, I wouldn’t try bone broth or peanut butter, too oily/salty. Don’t want to upset his stomach more than it already is. Something bland should be good if he’ll take it. That’s just my opinion.
