Granny's gone and done it again

If fitted properly it just sits on the neck. The handler should never pull on it or keep the leash tight. It should only tighten if the dog pulls, and it won't puncture or hurt the dog, it's just uncomfortable so he stops pulling right away. Unlike a choke collar, where you see dogs coughing and gagging and dragging their owners around.

I don't either. Have seen too many dogs in my classes with the hair worn down, or I could feel heat and swelling* from dogs pulling and owners yanking. Fitted them with a prong and in a few minutes the dog would be heeling properly on a slack line.

Edit* around the dog's neck.
