Granny's gone and done it again

looks good. Ive never tried it.
It's Deeelicious! This was wild Sockeye salmon, which has a little stronger taste than farmed Atlantic, the most popular type. King salmon is the absolute best, but not easy to get.

In 1964 my one and only time to eat King Salmon was on the Oregon Coast and it was smoked right there on the coast. I was 17 and have never forgot that day. Sure would like to do it again.

My wife can't see this or I'm in trouble. I keep telling her it is to hot to be outside.
We waited to eat it. Much cooler today, only 80 compared to yesterday's 97.
And since we don't have ac, cooking outside is a good option. And the house doesn't smell like fish.

In my late 20's living on my own, I quit eating meat for a couple of years. Kind of an experiment. I found it easier (because I don't like cooking) and it was saving me money.
Well, one day my neighbor said he had just come back with salmon from the Klamath River (Oregon) and would I like some. 😛 Sure, I said rather casually. Oh my goodness, that was the best tasting thing I had in 2 yrs. It was King. So fresh too. He gave me enough for about 5 meals. I ate it all in 2 days.
Happily ended my experiment!

I haven't seen an ice cream truck since I was a kid on the east coast.
Until we moved to the sticks we had one come by most every day in TN. Trucks now are fancy and painted up real nice. Really attracts the kids to them.
