Dang, just did some math. I will be paying taxes this year.

There is only one draw back to not filing when you don't owe anything from what I understand and that is when the feds dole out stimulus money it only goes to those who filed a return for that year. This last year is the first time we have never filed a return. I ask a preparer and they said no need to file so we didn't.

Most places have retired IRS agents that will do them for free. Ours were done in a library in TN and in a public admin building here in AL.

Then if you are on SS there is no need to file to collect. That's good.
