Ummm.... yeah, maybe? My dr says I am "glucose intolerant," but I can't pin him down as to whether that means diabetic or not. My A1c is usually right around 5.8 and my morning fasting numbers are right around 112.

I never understood why you cant us SR flour and omit that other stuff.

Self rising has baking powder or baking soda in it, not sure which. The pound cake called for neither, just eggs. I usually raise my breads with yeast or sourdough. So don't need SR.

Bread flour has more protein in it and all purpose is what I've been told.

Yes. And that protein is ... gluten. Gives breads their structure. Don't want it in cakes and cookies though.

R is the trim level. Used to be a performance package but it gives you different seats, some sportier trim bits, different wheels/tires…

No animal control out in the county. Only in the city.

It’s funny. We’re unincorporated San Diego county here. City strays go to the humane society. Unincorporated/boonies go to the county shelter. Reservation has their own animal control too.

Yet down in Calgary, humane society dealt with outside of Calgary, anything within the city limits had to go to the city pounds.

Hubs is hunting for Pepe la peu. He was in the coop when I went to get eggs/tuck in chickens. Guy was within inches of me, thank gosh I didn’t get sprayed. See shadows in the coop proper and think wait is there a rabbit or squirrel in there? NOPE SKUNK.



Been busy prepping the motorhome for our impending trip. Today was a write off though - darned migraine. Only starting to feel functional now.

Kira’s got a grooming appointment tomorrow - think we’re going to take the motorhome just as a quick intro to motorhome for her, and a test run for hubs - he installed a new engine fan. Blessedly a lot of the errands we run can be motorhome friendly - though her groomer isn’t lol. Oh well, can park nearby and walk to that!

Sooo if y’all don’t see too much of me for a bit it’s busy doing trip prep and work prep. Shenanigans.
