The decade plus I lived in NW MO we never got 60 degree nights in the hot summers. No AC.I have an electric blanket on top of me and an electric mattress pad under me. I'm the middle of the sandwich, lol. And I use it all summer 'cuz our bedroom is always about 60 degrees.
Oh wow. I hope they don’t have any littles that the dogs could take down. I hope rooster recovers. I hate loose dogs. We have been jumped on our walks. Luckily I was able to kick them off.I'm tired. Spent some time napping after being up and out so early. Basically a double shift with a nap in between. I found and caught the White Giant rooster that the dog was chasing. I followed the trail of white feathers around the oaks that had dense azaleas around them. The big boy escaped with his life because of those azaleas. He has no tail feathers at all now and a puncture wound on his tail. He is ok and is strutting around like he wants a rematch. Shuster is not out of the woods. Several puncture wounds on his back that we hope do not get infected. He has a coat of triple antibiotic applied nice and thick. He's not happy about not being with his girl friends the least. His ability to crow is working fine. Late this after noon the cattleman that has cows adjoining us may have been shooting at the dog. Multiple shots fired near us coming from the way the dog ran off to. I will be out waiting just in case in a coup that he tries to get into.
Thank yousorry for your loss
The youngest chicks can fly very well now but I don't let them out right now unless I can stay right with them. they got out to run some just before roosting time today.Oh wow.
