Granny's gone and done it again

Doesn't a kilo weight 2.2 lbs?
Yup! So almost would have been a bit over but shh.
ALL of my dogs have their dewclaws removed as do all of the pups I breed, And YES I have had 2 different dogs rip their dew claws off/out. Which is why I do it. And when I can't find a vet willing to then I will do it myself.
I’m kinda worried about Kira’s rear dewclaws. Time will tell…it’s a little late now.

Good morning, what do you have planned for today?
A daughter is here for today and tomorrow helping with feeding and watering. Now we are cleaning out the brooder room that is being moved out side so we can now use the room as a hatchery. We need to incubate enough eggs to test for real fertility before we sell any hatching eggs. We have a pen of 11 White Giant hens, 8 Dark Cornish hens, and 7 American Bresse hens now laying. They are still young except for the American Bresse. They will be real hens on Dec 5. The other turn a year old Feb 13 I think. I'm testing a 3/4 RIR roo with some RIR pullets that we hatched at the same time. The 3/4 RIR roos look like barred rocks. The new generation will be interesting to see if the males keep the barring. I'm tired and weak today. I got up about 7:30 and was back in bed soon after until 11. I've had lunch and will nap soon. I hope everyone is having a good weather day like we are here.

I believe barring only needs one gene. I think they only get one gene from the father

I just looked at the weather forecast. Looks like rain tomorrow starting about 2 pm and rain for the next 12 hours. From the looks of thinks I'm glad we are on high ground. Nap can't wait any longer. Hold the fort someone.
We are in for some rain and possibly a bit of snow. I still have pears on the tree. Need to have someone come pick them soon.
