Granny's gone and done it again

I know. And eat my eggs. He doesn't hiss at us or anything, and he goes shuffling off apologetically. I feel sorry for him. We'll set up the trap tomorrow night and I'll see if my SIL will loan me her pistol. I know I gotta, I just don't wanna.
I had a very young or maybe half grown possum come on the porch yesterday. To young to mess with grown chickens I think. When I got back it was gone. I will compost him if I catch him around again. I protect the lives of my kids.

To bad some predators can’t be less cute. Like the cats roaming around. I feel bad chasing them off but they would absolutely hunt my chickens.

A few foxes here had mange so i think it’s probably for the best they got shot, though.

I think Ronald Reagan told a joke about a farmer who raised 3 legged chickens.
He told the one about standing on top of a pile of cow manure at a dairy or feed lot. All I remember about it was that he told the audience he had to deliver his speech standing on a Democrat platform.....

I found the embroidery of cherries i made. There are mess ups yes but i think it was okay for first time and not tracing it.

Anyways, i’m off to bed. Goodnight all

Oh, Mr Possum is not cute. He's pathetic. His coat is ratty and looks moth-eaten. He's scrawny and looks old and underfed. Hmm. Can possums get mange? I didn't see any bald spots, though...

We have two cats. They know the chickens are family, as do the dogs. Of course we keep the cats away from baby chicks until the chicks are, oh, about 8 weeks old and look like chickens and not baby birds.
