A few years ago when the GMO thing was a really hot topic a blogger published an article on weight loss and the things to avoid and the reasons for doing so. On young lady was railing against sweet corn. She claimed all the new sweet corn was GMO and GMO corn was made to make cattle fatter. Wrong on 2 accounts. First of all sweet corn in not fed to cattle and second GMO stock corn was not developed to made cattle fatter either. It was developed to stop the usage and expense of insecticides to control numerous pests in corn period. Root worm, corn borer, and others. A simple organic insect control used on home gardens was merged with corn genes. It worked. It was published that hogs that ate GMO field corn were full of tumors. False. Had it been true there would have been so many whistle blowers that the industry would have stopped using GMO for stock feed years ago.

I had an excellent teacher in high school that told us of some history that occurred not really that long ago in the grand scheme of time. When the railroads where being laid rumors were spread that when people got on the trains they would die because the human heart could not bear speeds of 30mph..... H'm. Way to go Chuck Yeager.

The the next big scare. Electricity in home. It was going to kill everyone. When some one is going to lose. I don't remember who was gong to lose with electricity but I know that Stage Lines were to lose with railroads and several pesticide companies were losing with GMO corn. Personally I've not seen any evidence that GMO is harming any animal whether human or livestock. All those that want to avoid GMO that is great if it makes them feel safer with what they eat. In real life circles I have friends tell me not to eat something because it is bad. I say I will when they start eating A, B, & C. Oh is the response, I don't do green. I do green. Lots of it.

Has anyone tried pine shavings in nest boxes ?? If so how did that work out. TIRED of filthy eggs.

Yes..that's all I used. Loved it.

I used carpet cut to size with hay or straw on top.

I also had carpet in the bottom.

They get so bored in the kennel. I have to let my Bella stay in there with nothing now. I tried everything. Not good for their tummies, and I knew she was eating g some. She had it in her poops.

I am keto/low carb. My joint inflammation is much better my blood sugar stays under 110. I lost weight and gained muscle I eat a lot of protein.

I lost on keto too.
