Granny's gone and done it again

I'm confused. Dr says what we eat doesn't much affect our blood cholesterol levels, our bodies produce it and you could probably eat whatever you want and it wouldn't make much difference. But then she said it's a good idea to avoid fried foods, fast foods, greasy foods. So .... which is it? :idunno
It would be nice if they would specifically mention what to avoid instead of being so general about it.
We use a lot of butter, coconut oil and olive oil. We avoid all highly processed foods.

That will be wonderful if it helps, Cynthia! When will you know?
Haven't gone to a dr for it. The NP for my neurologist did suggest it for my VM. I said no at the time. Tomorrow I go in for my knee. Hoping I get an injection. Well see. Got poked twice today as my blood stopped giving in the first vein..still had another tube to go. Other arm gave it up. :) She had to get it for a CBC.

I have a thought and that works for me. lt's quite simple. I focus on eating so much of the things that I know that are good for me and ignore what the bloggers tell me not to eat. Which is worse ignoring high quality nutrient dense vegetables because the taste is not a favorite food and having to try and get what is needed in a narrow band of foods and depending on not eating anything deemed to be bad? Spelt is one of the oldest known grains deemed for health. So was red meat.. Due to forum policy I can't say what I'm thinking about the long haul of health but there is more to my life than avoiding a, b,c, d, and only eating e, f, & g. If I can reduce pain by avoiding tomatoes I'll give them up. But only if I detect that it helps not what is published in a blog.
