As H2o says I think there are instructions on how to use Epsom salt water too. Those I'm not familiar with. If he were mine I'd get a $3 jar of Fleet suppositories and get him opened up. Granny this is what my surgeon put me on after gallbladder surgery.

They have my DH on stool softeners, but Robert is past that.
You can also buy those disposible enemas. They work well.
 
Meanwhile down in the Land Of Cotton it is so windy that I shouldn't be out piddling in it and I'm sleepy anyway. I was up just after midnight, again about 3:00 and at 5:30 ish. A rough night. Chickens are out hunting bugs and eating tender grass. I've been nibbling fruit cake.
