Iitis blessing to have them pass at home, esp if that is their wish.
My husband did. And my sister the year before. With hospice. With my sister because she quit Dialysis. We all thought Scott would have another year, at least. He surprised us. I'm glad he didn't have to suffer another year, but sad he's gone. On Thanksgiving day I went to find a place to sit, turned to ask Scott where he wanted to sit. I got part of his name out..Sco..then caught myself. It's still strange that he's gone. Holidays are hard.i wonder if each state is different. They didn't take any of my sister's or husband's meds away.

My father in law passed at home. He had Lou Gehrig disease. It was sad but he was ready to go.

Cynthia, I bet you can feel his presence esp at family gatherings. My mom was going to stop her dialysis. She did it for 5 years. She was done.

Maybe his spirit is lingering because he wasn't ready to leave you?

That's the only thing I could think of that made feel so strongly to ask him where he wanted to sit. I believe that he was there, and probably a lot of family members. Saw this and shared on fb. Will share here.
