What I find amazing and don't understand is how they can use x-rays to guide a needle with for putting meds into a joint when you can't have any metal on you that would be in the x-ray.

I think it is alcohol. Maybe 2 doses. It might have Tylenol.

Who ever ordered the biopsy should be the one to order the Valium for you at the hospital before the biopsy. There's absolutely no reason not to give it to you. It's in their interest to do the biopsy right and get the results for your sake now, not on another attempt later.

I know that type one deals with low blood sugar and Type II is for high blood sugar. At least that is what I remember.

I believe you are diabetic from a young age with type one. Type two develops later in life.

Granny on the Friday before Labor Day in 1989 at about 5am I woke up with a chest pain that felt like what I would think would have been an oyster where my heart is and someone has an oyster knife trying to get it open. Once admitted I tossed and turned and was going absolutely crazy. I didn't want any of those bad drugs. They had to slip me Valium somehow. I still don't know how they did it but it was for the best. I was afraid of getting hook on drug more than what was causing the pain. Still don't know what cause it but did get wake up call. I had never had a blood test at that time before. When they ran it I had so much fat in my blood some of the tests couldn't be ran. Triglycerides were 3110 and total cholesterol was 590. Everything turned out for the best.
