Often they don't shoot them over the corn. They lay in wait in a tree stand over the trail they use to get to the corn. Nothing illegal about that. It is still sneaky...They also feed a lot to harvest one.

Hi Granny, not feeling very good. My BP keeps climbing back up. Headaches, dizziness. I took 3 blood pressure pills yesterday. Nearly every time I check my BP, it is too high. The waiting for the testing is driving me nuts.

The corn used is referred to as Deer Corn. Openly advertised. Some may feed it and never even attempt to harvest. It is a way to keep herd health up when the browse they eat is in limited supply.

It's legal to feed them for certain times of the year. You are supposed to stop a certain number of weeks before deer hunting season begins. Sadly, not all hunters adhere to the laws.

It's still illegal no matter what the need. Nobody needs meat, they can get protein from beans. They can shoot squirrels. The government provides food stamps and there are a multitude of charities that give away free food.

What really gripes me is seeing most of a deer carcass going to waste out of season because somebody shot it and just took the backstrap and left the rest of it to rot. If they were truly hungry they would take it all.
