Granny's gone and done it again

Between the 2 of us all the chickens have been fed and watered. I will be warmer at 2 this afternoon and we will be back out to give them some scratch to keep them all warm ahead of the oncoming freeze tonight. 3 straight nights of freezing weather. I'm going to eat a bite and find my bed until it is time to go back out.

so no xrays?

so no xrays?
No xrays. No real pain increase at all. Still just the dull pain when laying down. I can't lay on my right side any at all now. I was able to lay just a little at a time but not now. Should be ok in a couple of weeks with lots of rest. Lunch is about done and then I'm laying down. Don't need the heavy duty pain meds now and am breathing well enough that pneumonia is not a threat. Back for a bit after nap.

I think you can only have steroid shots every three months. When was your last shot?
Years ago! I had major surgery on this shoulder. Years ago after having had the shots for a while. I know about the shots.. my right one os bad too. Anyway, I almost went to the ER last night it was aching so bad. I held out with heat and Advil. Went to urgent care this morning. Bless Bronwyn's big heart. Took the kids along. I lucked out being able to see an assistant in sports medicine. This guy covered all bases. Heard that I had had neck surgery so took x rays on neck and shoulder. My surgery area on neck looks good, but above he says I have some things started. :( The shoulder. I knew it. A bone spure. When I went in years ago for my surgery I had a lot of different tears going on, but the dr couldn't get over the size of the bone spur. I asked Bronwyn yesterday, think a bone spur could grow back? Yep. So, go back tomorrow for a shot and maybe the Tenex procedure to break up the bone. If they don't have the time tomorrow for that, I'll have it done later. Hey Blue, this procedure works great for folks with planter fasciitis. Which I also have, but isn't bothering me now. In the meantime, he wanted to give me prednisone. I told him it makes me mean..lol Well, it does. So Advil and two different exercises. He said to call him if I want the prednisone. I just hope and pray that the shot works until I can get this thing shaved off. Gave me an arm sling for when I need ..to do..things. Helps. Now. Back to reading to see how Larry is doing!
