Granny's gone and done it again

Be sure to keep him warm.
Keeping him extra warm must have been a big help. He is much , much better this afternoon. He is eating and drinking on his own. His comb was purple and has returned to being bright red again. He is not laboring to breathe now and that is the best news of all. Still not crowing. He has started pooping again and this it the first time I've ever been happy to see a chicken poop. Still keeping him warm and with scrambled egg topped with game bird starter grower. I'm feeling lot better about him. Now to work more one the pullet with the neuro problems. Going to get q video of the stunts she is pulling once I can get her back in the kennel.

Dogs use their tongue to drink. Do chickens?
Granny beat me to it with Google. The reason they tip their heads back to drink is because their tongues are virtually useless for the task. As a child, I remember being told also that the reason they tipped their heads back is to thank God for the drink, and to remind us to do the same. I like that answer, too! 😉

@LTAY, I'm glad to hear your rooster is improving! I'm a little worried about you coghing and sneezing, hope it's not serious.

@CapricornFarm , your Gnome King is a handsome fella! You did a very nice job on him.

This is today's bake, these are sold already for customers at the bank and will be delivered tomorrow. When they cool they will be frosted. They came out prettier than my previous batch. I call these Cherry Delight Cinnamon Rolls. I have totally trashed my kitchen and am so beat I can hardly move, lol! Good thing I have lots of leftovers and don't have to cook. And the kids will clean the kitchen so it's all good.

How much do you charge?

Morning, So you have covid again too? And the baby? Poor little darling. She cant even blow her nose yet.
I guess everyone here has been lucky so far.
This is my first time. No bueno! The weak part sucked, and I still can't smell or taste. I usually can't with colds because I get really really stuffy. Austin's says he can smell and taste with colds but not covid. Anyway, I didn't get a stuffy nose with this. So..weird. Cough yes. We've all gotten the cough with it except Ashton. His was mostly tummy problems and weakness, which I luckily experienced also. Headache! Yes, all of that in one day. Slept! For a whole day and most of the next. Chills. Oh well. Should be good for Christmas. All of us thank the Heavens because that baby gave us a scare. It wasn't because she couldn't blow her nose, it was because she could cough up stuff. When Bronwyn went to pick her up the other morning, she all of a sudden took three quick breaths. Then while Austin was holding her he heard her gurgle. He turns her around and her lips were blue. He started rubbing her back and jouncing her. She finally coughed some stuff up. They kept taking her outside with hat on. Got her to the dr. Doc said they did everything right. At the time in the office her oxygen was good and her breaths per minute were good. They took turns getting up at night checking on her. She's doing really well today! So many older folks here in Utah and this and with low immunity..like me, are ending up hospitalized. The vaccine helped this old lady to stay outta there. Still tired. Heading back to bed soon. Will try and catch up..some.
