Granny's gone and done it again

Good morning Granny. I know you beat me up by an hour or more but I was awake. I looked out the window and there's my little Honey way out in the garden spot scratching away. Not a protecting rooster in sight. Got to have a talk with those boys... If anything happens to that kid it might be off with their heads.

As soon as the boss gets up I got to do the chores. BTW 2 of the new chicks are from those big old Cornish Rock girls. Finally figured out why I had two chicks growing like poke weeds in a well fertilized garden. They are a cross between a White Giant roos and the roaster strain of those fast growing Cornish Rock Cross. One appears to be be a roo and the other a pullet. We also got some crosses from our Dark Cornish. Don't know which way or how but I know that those chipmunk kids with dark blue legs are not pure anything. Dark Cornish had yellow legs and and chipmunk feathers. I was after some meat mutts to breed something new with and I got them now.

Yaa...... glad you got what you were after! Thats a bit of luck thrown in there. You didnt know what eggs you were hatching right?
I knew the pens the eggs were from but when the hens free range you never know which pen the rooster part came from....
