Im not sure how I landed. I have it worse on my left side. It broke my glasses and scratched my face.

Howdys, Rough 2 days over here. Robert went to er. Antibiotic and PP and poop cocktail They gave him 5 PPs. got to bed around 4 am. and off to pain clinic today. I was heading into harbor freight. I forgot how to walk I guess. I got to the curb and went tumbling head over a** Took 4 people to get me up. Im pretty messed up. Road rash and cant draw a deep breath.

Not being able to take a deep breath is a possible sign of a fractured if not broken rib from what the docs told me. I fractured a rib 40 years ago playing football with a bunch of kids and went to the ER with sharp pains when trying to take a deep breath. That's when I let the kids do their own playing. If you don't get to where you can take deep breaths it can lead to pneumonia is what they told me when I broke mine. Same post op from surgeries when it hurt to take deep breaths. Wife has to take deep breaths on an breathing exercise device now to not get pneumonia. It is serious.

I came off a horse once and landed on my left arm. Broke my arm right at the wrist and broke at least one rib too. Thank goodness it was in a sand wash or I might have actually gotten hurt, lol. I was working in a clerical job at the time and I had to type for 6 weeks in a cast, I had to hold my left arm with my elbow sticking out to do it. So much fun! Had a concussion too, made so many mistakes at work.

right ribs broke and couldn't use my right arm to help myself in and out of the van.

I asked Google if a fracture is the same thing as a break. Found this:

A fracture is a broken bone, the same as a crack or a break. A bone may be completely fractured or partially fractured in any number of ways (crosswise, lengthwise, in multiple pieces).

I know a "compound fracture" is when the bones stick out of the skin. No doubt the bone is broken in such a case.
