With this storm here I opened up the front porch gate to some of the pet roosters. I'll have a mess to clean up in the morning but after all they are my buddies. At least they are not leaving me with a bushel basket of Beer Cans strewn all around. Maybe they know about Beer Can Chicken.

Granny I want to take my meds and go to sleep but I need to stay up and care for these new kids on the block. I may make it until 10.

We are having thunderstorms continuing until 6 in the morning. So far we have not lost power. Not even a blink. I hope it stays this way. This is not a good time to loose it. I got busy with other things and didn't get the generator setup. I'm got blankets ready to cover incubators up like we did a few days ago.

Yea it can make it hard to sleep at night. I haven't taken my meds yet. Checking on the chicks every little bit. I've got some that pipped but haven't tried to zip yet. That's bothering me. Probably won't be able to sleep if they don't hurry up and hatch. Not many eggs left and they were not due to hatch until tomorrow. I hope by next weekend I've over the stress of this bunch before more start to hatch.

Granny it is storming here right now. We are getting hammered like we are in a big hurricane.

I started with 41 eggs. So far over 20 have hatched early. I forgot how may I had for lock down. I should write stuff down as I forget details so easy.
