Thunderstorm blasting us now. Sounded like a big hailstorm outside. Granny I hope that typing finger gets better soon. I'm going to check the chicks while you catch up.

It didn't rain a drop here but we had a mighty deluge of water fall on us. Lots of pretty lights in the sky too along with heavenly music to boot.

BB sometime later today. Lots to do after the storm we had. The John Deere is in the shop and now I really need it to clean up the mess in the yard.

Had to have a coffee break. I worked up a sweat cleaning out the brooder getting it ready for the new kids and evicting the last hatch from it. Got the sneezes now from brooder dust. When will I ever learn to wear a mask for that job?

I've made good progress in getting the newest coop readied with a new outdoor brooder box so I can free up the indoor brooder for the older chicks. Meanwhile we are taking a short lunch break before we start ripping the sheet of plywood for the new bottom needed inside.
