I need to make a cake still. I've been putting it off since Easter!

I cook when I feel like it. Usually frozen or raw veggies is my go to.

white, black and white.  I dont know how many. Too many. Gonna need a 3rd brooder to put them in. Or I should say 4th.

Black and white cochins are called splash.

Chickmania at your house then lol I have over 20 chicks in my garage I think?

Well mine came from TSC and they apparently only have black or black frizzled Cochins. So I was a bit confused. It's also supposed to be a bantam but it's almost the same size as my other LF chicks that age.

Howdy!

I got a connection so figured I'd say hi before getting cut off. Cleaned out the chicks cage today. The water had drained out and soaked the whole bottom. Top of the shavings were dry, but what a mess. Trying a new watering system, bowl inside of a larger bowl. They will probably tip it over.

That Lorp still makes me think it's a male, so I decided not to wait to find out... I arranged to get 2 CCL pullets that are 2 weeks old! Going to pick them up Sat. morning. Hahaha! Now that I have 4 potential chickens to squeeze into the layer coop, I bet that Lorp will be a pullet!

Anyway, it's supposed to get into the 80's by this weekend, so I can put the chicks outside in the ground cage during the day. They will love it! And then I can clean out the room they've been staying in. They weren't too fond of the vacuum cleaner today!

She's not going to make it. Skin and bones. I can't get her to eat. She just sits under the heat with her eyes closed:(

I had a very weak one that was close to death... gave it sips of sugar water during the day. Perked her up enough to show an interest in food and got a little down. She was from the feed store, had an umbilical hernia and was put in the "expected to die" brooder. Took a whole week before she was eating on her own, but Grace is 5 yrs old now and still laying the occasional egg.

Ally, bantam cochins are still pretty big.

Wishing ! Congrats on the new ones. I think a ton of them are he but I aint looked close. Funny polka dot top.

Camp, You just rehomed your RIRs ?

Tom just found a tick in his ear.

3 "blacks" and 2 blondes. We'll see what colors the blacks end up feathering out to.
Tell Tom you'll pick him up a flea and tick collar
