Granny's gone and done it again

Hope I can go back to sleep soon instead of the wheels in my head keeping me awake reminding me of all the things I need to get done before it rains again possible Saturday and Sunday. Need the rain but also need some critical things done before it comes too.

I should have planted more sweet corn. It's $6 now for 4 ears. $18 or roughly $54 for a bushel of ear corn. We should be eating our own fresh sweet corn in a week or less now.
Yup. I think next year I’ll be trying my luck with a bunch of edible crops.

Cool weather crops in the summer. I spent a summer over in Eugene and it was to cool to grow tomatoes there is what I was told. Might be warmer on the coast around Coos Bay. At least you should be able to catch some good fish that are quite pricey in the market places. A small green house would be nice for tomatoes, cukes, and summer squash it indeed it is to cold for such in the summer. Your AC bill will be a whole lot less. Heat shouldn't be bad either.

Granny after only about 3 hours sleep and some heavy lifting this morning I'm give out. Going to rest until after lunch now even if I don't catch a nap. Plenty to do this afternoon. More heavy work. Can't get the chicken feed I need until later today. I made the trip in expecting it to be there but the deliver truck with it had just arrived and it will be awhile before it is unloaded in to the CoOp. I need some things from Walmart too but will not drive 30 miles just for them.
