Pinecone is the frizzle cochin that got pecked raw. Yolk butt still has a pea-sized ball, hard and brown like a scab. It's pretty firmly attached. I'm tempted to try the snippers on it.

I dont believe I would. Maybe it needs a soak ?   

I could try that first. Gotta be careful not to chill him.

Thats pretty cool about them keeping the littles warm. Who ever said chickens are dumb ?

Im going to hang on to my CCL roo. I have Lisa CCL eggs and if I get a girl I will have unrelated blood line already . I got sweedish flower eggs from her too. I really dont know what all I got coming and sure dont know how I will be able to tell them apart after they hatch .

I use the little rubber bands from the rainbow loom. They come in tons of colors and are cheap!

11 LF eggs today and some seramas so 7 doz. a week.  we Might average using 4 a week.  Try selling them, they give $2.00 a dozen and want you to bring them. Take $4.00 in gas to get to the closest town. LOL

I never have time through the week but I scramble a dozen or so on Saturdays. Have you tried banana and egg pancakes? Add a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg and it makes them sweet. That'd be a big fat no unless I was already going there.
