then techinally/leagally you were in the right but morally would be questionable. I have a small enough motel that I do NOT have to comply with handicapped accessible rooms WHICH are a lot more expensive to build and take up a lot more property AND you are NOT allowed to charge more for the room.

We live in an age where "happy mediums" seem to get lost/disappear.

There is not a thing wrong with my morals . I didnt leave house cats to freeze, I didnt make a little boy have a break down. I protected my family and I didnt do harm to his room.
How are you immune from handicap laws ?

not enough rooms a way to "protect" small business/motel owners from going broke I believe the minimum number of units is 49 before you HAVE to have a handicapped acc room. As the rooms take up almost as much floor space as 2 "normal" rooms and cost 3 to 4 times as much to build.

Were there any other motels around that you could have checked ?? Any other reason's ??

Ground meat of any type should always be cooked well done.

how do you know when its well done ?

No pink. Whole cut meats are safe to eat undercooked because of how they are processed. Ground beef (in particular) commonly comes in contact with intestinal juices, which is where all the nasty germs are.

Edit: if it's home processed, it's probably different.
