Thanks, Granny. I ended up taking a muscle relaxer and sleeping away a good part of the day, twice. I have no pain pills of any kind but I knew those would knock me out.

So, I was out communing with the poultry, while filling waterers, water bowls, and wading pools. My lightest colored duck hen came over, and started splashing in the pool, getting me drenched. I look her in the eye, and say, "You're getting me wet, and I don't like it."

Being a polite little lady, she says, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get you wet!"

She sits there, scratches her little round head a couple times, then asks, "What is wet?"

I sez, "Wet is when there is water soaking into my clothes, and running down my leg."

She says, "You don't like WATER?!?!?"

She waddled off, scandalized, to tell her sisters what I had said. All five of them are out there gabbling about their crazy human pet right now. As usual, the drakes don't have much to say . . .

Kelsey when I was in a college economics class the prof ask us if we knew stories from the Great Depression Era from our ancestors. I knew how people survived eating Poke Weed that grew wild around their outhouses and of one family that ate boiled catfish from a strip mine pit they could catch that was in their back yard where they only had a make shift camp for the entire family to live in. A classmate from Wisconsin told of her parents teaching her about how some people in the land of the Cheese Heads survived on Lard Sandwiches. Never heard that from anyone else. Kelsey I grew up on those large Lima beans that had been dried and fried potato sandwiches. Back then it didn't pay to be any kind of picky eater. Hard times. I can't help but wonder if Covid is not the start of another such Era that we will see within a few years.

It was pretty good thanks!!! I fell back asleep LOL but I walked the dog so that was good. And made lunch.
