Me either. My mom baked bread and buns all the time. She could whip up banana bread in minutes. I've made that a couple of times and it is very easy though.

Also Zucchini bread is fast, and yummy.

When it's hot like this, we just find something to put on the grill and keep the extra heat outside. Hubby bought this huge box of bacon they had on sale, and we decided to cook that all up ahead of time, on the grill. We have a pellet grill that you can set the temp and it'll stay pretty close.

Ma got her a little block of cheddar cheese and a pepperjack block for me. There was a sale on Ritz crackers and we got a vegetable flavored box that is the best cracker I've ever had with the cheese on it.

I'm buying Ritz crackers all the time. Roasted vegetable and there's one with more flavoring that I love. I don't buy the garlic.

I had a sandwich earlier of whole wheat toast with mayo, avocado, and lettuce. I hurt so bad I hardly feel like eating. My hands don't work and I'm using two canes again. Humidity is 95% and I'm miserable. Would move back to NM in a heartbeat if I could.

Maybe Walmart will get those in store brand with some good savings for the "Not Rich and Famous".

That's where I get mine and at our Macy's store.

I do love 5 Guys burger joints for their French fries. They fry from fresh raw potatoes. Bags in the stores as decor. They even tell you what farm they are coming from the day you are dining there. The options on the burgers should please all but the impossible to please. The next time I get a chance I want to take time and stop and enjoy. Word of caution. A small fry is enough for 2 people. At least it was when we had a local one. Not sure what it is like now after all the turmoil the food industry has been through. The only problem I have with them is to many choices and I want 8 or 9 burgers.

We have thise our here and of course the potatoes come from Idaho. Those fries are pretty big.

Kelsey you have never had the kind of peas I'm talking about. They are nothing like the round green English cool weather peas. Mine are from the bean family and came to America long ago along with okra and watermelon.... From Africa.

Black eye peas? I remember as a kid mother telling us as she shook her finger at us..you eat alll of your lunch. Well Florida served those black eyed peas often throughout the week. I couldn't stand them but I was one to mind my mama. So, I hurried and ate those things down fast, took a drink, then enjoyed the rest of my lunch. Years later here in Utah I had them cross my path again. I tried them. I liked them!! What?!
