Granny's gone and done it again

I had a little old prim looking lady tell me once 'Whoever called these the golden years was out of their 'bleep bleeping' minds.

Cap I was just admiring your goat pictures. I can't say I blame you. My reason for saying this is my last hatching. During my last visit to the doctor he commended me for not giving up and said physically, even with all I have going on, I'm more like 60 than 70 (at the time) and told me not to stop pushing myself. Probably within 5 years the majority of my birds will be gone due to age leaving the ones I hatched this spring to provide us with the eggs we need and not take up so much time with care.

DH and I would be happy being able to take some day trips if the mood hit us.

One of the things that prompted me to get back on the forum was wondering how you and others were doing.
I like doing things, but instead of animals, keep up my gardens better and pull the pesky weeds. And go rock hunting. It's so peaceful and if you decide not to go no one else suffers

I've taken Celebrex. Stuff is great but with the chronic gastritis....everything that works causes me stomach distress. Same with Naproxen. Doctor gives me relief from the arthritis by giving me shots of steroids along with injectable anti inflammatory drugs but I have to be careful with them due to my stomach and colon problems.

As for prices DH's dermatologist wanted to start him on a new topical med for his skin problems. Since the VA refused to cover it, the price would have come out of our pockets. 837 dollars. Needless to say he told them no thankyou.
That's crazy! Sometimes you can contact the drug company and they may give you a reduced rate.
I have been waiting over 2 weeks to hear results on my labs. Apparently I must go to his office to get a report. But, he has a frozen schedule because he is already overbooked. I need a new doctor!

Did they give you the call Bell? Last time I was in the ER they didn't give me the bell. I got vomit over myself so I said'excuse me' and I got a whole lot of help at once
One time I was in the ER during covid. Hubby had to wait in the car. No call button. I was freezing. Even yelling didn't bring me help. I called hubby, he called the ER. Horrible place.

Ibs can be difficult to pin point but Drs will keep exploring as long as the insurance covers it and the patient agrees. After an anorectal manometry, I was done exploring and ready to figure out out myself (or suffer) but I also had a small stroke right before that. So sometimes even Drs just can't figure it out. I decided to try go the diet route
Took me 20 years to get diagnosed with IBS, I had to figure it out myself.

Maybe try medical records. Do the FOIA on them!
