Granny's gone and done it again

Tired here. Moving appliances to tear out the kitchen carpet and carpet grippers used some alien muscles there.I always thought carpet was glued in. I didn't know it had 'velcro' of sorts to hold the edges in place. The grippers look like yardsticks full of little nails sticking up. How they were able to nail them under that toe space along the front of the kitchen counter, I don't know. The claw hammer didn't want to reach under there. Left the skin from my knuckles under there.

try either a pry bar, crowbar or a straight edge screwdriver. And their called "tack strips" used to hold the carpet in place after they stretch it to fit.
