I've gotten almost all the carpet out of this house. One more small bedroom to go. Carpet's filthy, smelly and disgusting.

I agree. I haven't decided which flooring to go with but was admiring the one that clicks together. Home Depot said I don't need to remove the glue on the tiles or smooth it out then. They recommended it. $500 to cover the floor of I go that direction. What flooring did you go with?

Yeah, the snap-together stuff mostly. We put that in one upstairs bedroom and in our bedroom downstairs. In the upstairs bathroom we put ceramic tile, it's grey and looks like boards, very pretty, and it's not slippery when wet. The most of the ground floor had been done before I got here, it's rolled vinyl that looks like wood planks. I don't like it but it's very practical if you have dogs that go in and out, esp in rain and snow. I put square vinyl tiles in another upstairs bedroom. One upstairs bedroom remains, and I have the flooring to do it, but nobody now has the energy and/or skill to do it so I guess I'll have to hire it done.
