We had a weird night with this Debby ramping up. Thankfully she's not a big un and we're pretty central.
My nerves were a little hightened because we're in an RV (long story) on a farm and the chickens coop is a temporary make-do thing with more hardware cloth than structural support. But we haven't blown away to Kansas and the chickens are all fine
Last night my mom decided she needed milk. Just as the heavy rain bands started. So I went off to publix absolutely saturated from the blowing stuff to shop and get hurricane snacks with a bunch of other wet people who seemed not to care. Florida is weird sometimes.

Apparently she will be hanging over us like this for most of the day. Good thing we're on high ground!

Seems to me it would make sense to put the electric feed lines underground in sealed waterproof conduit.
It could storm all it wants to and we would still have power.

Well, okay. Def need to! I'm 5'1" and my weight has crept up to just under 170 in spite of my best efforts at a healthy diet of reasonable portions. I exercise as I can, but a bum leg doesn't allow much.
