Oh man. When I had my rotator cuff surgery, I was so stupid and out of my mind afterward. My DH and MIL kept telling me not to use that arm, but I was drugged and feeling no pain, so I decided I needed to do laundry, so I was hauling baskets around and carrying on like always even with that big old brace on.. sure felt it after the block wore off though! Maybe my DH shoulda snatched that basket from me and told me to sit down and shut up, but he is not forceful like that and I am a very stubborn little witch so ...

I just finished fessing up to mom that I told on her here and read her your response. She thought that sounded just like what she would have done. We're both equal amounts of stubborn, so she didn't start washing dishes. Nooo, she left that until yesterday when I was away at the laundromat. She was very proud of herself.

AH but they don't quack, just sort of hiss. And are heck on bugs.

Good news! What did she have done?

Sorry for the delay, Granny. It had a name that I just can't get to stick in my head, but they moved the tendon slightly at her elbow and did a pressure relieving artful cut job around the tendon at her wrist. She's been having mysterious nerve pain for some time and they hope this will fix it.

Morning, Grannypeeps! What's on the agenda for today? Granny, did you get any rest?
@Bonkerelli what are you doing with all those chickens? Are you selling? Showing? Improving a breed? Or just .. chicken mathing?

I went overboard with mail order chicks. First time this year going that route. Mainly I wanted a variety but I butcher extra roosters that hatch (or in this case got). There is a small handful of customers for eggs. Right now I get between 12-18 eggs daily. There would be more if I did not have 7 broody hens. Plus, half my hens are still under laying age but that will change within 2 months. My chickens, least the ones I am not eating, are my feathers babies.

How is everyone this morning!?

Tired. Woke up with a headache. Have not even had my coffee yet. Stayed up late last night crocheting, lol.

Weather man said one of our local lakes, Lake Abilene, inside the Abilene State Park, is only 3% full. Might as well say it's empty. It's only 595 acres, so not too big. I wonder if they're taking the opportunity to clear out the silt. Haven't heard them mention it. Seems like a good time.
