Granny's gone and done it again

Just popped in to say a quick hello before trotting to the kitchen to do my wifely duty of making dinner.
Only got to 90 here. I was just out and funny, but compared to yesterdays 99.8, it seems quite pleasant out. We wound up with 5.25 inches of rain from last night's storms. Picked up another 1/4 inch or so overnight depending on which rain gauge you look at.
I went out this morning to let the birds out and the north end of the coop was wet. Evidently rain got in under the north wall somehow. They are calling for more rain tomorrow.
Home made grapenuts. We came over here once while we were buying the place and the lady of the house was making grapenuts. Smelled wonderful. She also made her own granola. Went into his fathers house one evening and the women were in the process of turning out huge mixing bowls of some kind of ground up meat that smelled familiar but I couldn't place it. When I asked what it was they told me, bologna! Used to seeing it in the packaged slice form in the grocery store so I was pretty impressed. Seems like they had put down an injured steer the day before and that old boy was being put to good use. I just can't imagine being THAT self sufficient.

Yup!!!! I’ve never really listened to very much of their music before but it sounded fun!!! And it has been so far! They had an opener too. This awesome singer/songwriter!What fun.
So far they’re really talented. They just came on a few minutes ago.

Up to 108 ° feels like today. At 6 pm it still felt like 100°! Oh come on already, please send me fall weather!
