Granny's gone and done it again

I was supposed to clean today. Instead I got distracted polishing the antiques. Now I'm thinking of what flowers to put in there. :D

Hello byc FAM, I have a question, I have a roo that has a curved beak, its been curving throughout his aging and it really effects his nourishment, what would a vet do in these cases, when he's awake I never seen him clothes his mouth, my wife has gotten attached to him and is thinking about mabey a prosthetic beak, any suggestions?

Depends how bad it is. Best case is they are able to grind enough off so he can use it better(but that will be ongoing) Worse case they will tell you to euthanize

Hi Kid, welcome to grannys. Is your roo scissor beak or curve in the same direction ? Watch what food he can eat. size I mean. He might do better with larger pieces . I dont recommend you letting him breed though as it can be carried to his chicks. Do you have a picture ?

Thank you for your timeley response, I think its pretty bad, the tip is a definite 90° downward and then a slight curvature inward. But thank you, it has consoled me to know that at least they won't chop off his beak
