My cataracts came with age. I was about 60-63 when mine developed. Doc said nothing about steroid use and I had taken some for a severe cough off and on along with 2-3 steroid injections in my shoulder.

I learned there are different kinds of cataracts. Thankfully the ones from steroids are slow growing, but it is making my right eye blurry. I didn't even know there are different kinds. She said cataracts aren't all age related. I found my medical lesson interesting
*Edit- also the steroid shots, steroid sprays are more local. Prednisone is systemic. Crohn's is a systemic disease

When the therapist asks you if there's is anything you would like to discuss, have you ever shared with her how much you fear your appointments? She could help you address the problem so you can deal with it better.

This is the psychiatrist. She’ll tell me to discuss with the therapist probably.

I'm just barely starting to get cataracts and I've had steroids a few times. Nobody ever said they might cause cataracts, hmmm. Mine are nowhere near needing to have anything done with them.

That’s a good idea! I write it in the logs but I should actually tell her verbally so she gets the full picture
