Nutridrench is the only thing I could find. They drink it. If you reread Kathy's post, it sounds similar to what the hummingbirds do.

Don't think so. It's like electrolytes, they need to drink it.

its the vet rx thats absorbed.Goodnight! That particular hummingbird is thought to be the smallest bird in the world, found only on Cuba. Your chick might have been in torpor.
I am trembling like a leaf still. Them that dont know me will call me a lier and them that do will say I have gone off the deep end. But, heres what happened :
Killer was off her nest so I knew the chick was dead. I went to look and sure enough. it was gone. stone cold froze. never finished the hatch. Wondering if it bled out or its yolk absorbed I pried it from the shell. , rigamortis had set in. yolk was gone and just a drop of blood . I held it in my hand while I checked the other nests. Nothing yet. I set it down for a min or so then picked it back up so I could toss it over the hill. gathered my other stuff and headed out. I opened my hand and I had a spot of blood on me. I thought it strange cause dead chicks dont bleed right ? but its ice cold, surely its dead. whats wrong with me ? Of course its dead Then people , it took a breath, more like a gasp I guess, just one. I was startled and thought maybe I caught it just as it was dying cause no more but then about 30 seconds later another breath ! WTH ??? I dropped everything in my hands and went as fast as I could to the house. The bleeding was getting worse ! It was alive but it was dead. I know it was dead. I showed it to Tom, made him feel it. stone cold dead ! then a 3rd breath and I realized the warmth from my hand was bringing this chick back . OMG. I was shaking so hard. surprised I didnt drop it. Tom got the corn starch and I held it in my hand under a heat lamp. I stood there and watched that chick as it slowly started breathing more regular then a small movement then a peep. I cried . I stood there with that chick for a good half hr. maybe more, IDK. Its in a box now, sleeping. I did see an eye open
It is making a clicking sound when it breathes and I dont know what to do. It has dried membrane and shell stuck to it. bleeding has stopped. It hasnt tried to stand and who knows if it will make it or not. I would assume it is very weak . I dont have vitamins and with the clicking I would be afraid to give it anything orally
OMG Ya'll

It's my very favorite! The top drops down like a secretary, mail slots on the inside. The bottom is a cabinet. I keep napkins in the drawer, tablecloths in the cabinet, and scotch tape, playing cards, and candles in the secretary part. I have one extremely similar but HAD TO HAVE this one too. DH was baffled and furious.
