Granny's gone and done it again

Well that's doing it the hard way, Cap! I lost the weight over the summer when my stomach acted up again. Same thing, only if the chronic gastritis flares, I stay 'queezy' all the time and fill up with just a little food thanks to the gas. Hate it. Doc wants me to weigh 125 but my personal goal was 120, When I was in my mid 20s I weighed around 115 but as he pointed out. I'm 'of an age' where if I get sick or injured I need a cushion of weight to fall back on.

As above. Actually I can gain weight just by looking at food. Used to say, forget all that chewing and swallowing stuff, just smear it on my hips with a trowel because that is where it's going to wind up anyway. Ahhh to be 17 and able to eat like it was going out of style and not gain weight doing it!

Brace yourself. DH's dermatologist wanted him to get a newly released ointment for his face that they are hoping will cut back on the number of skin cancers he is getting. $808 dollars out of pocket. We said pass as the VA won't cover it. When I was doing the Prolia for my osteo it was over 1000 out of pocket. Medicare did pay for that though and I only had to pay something like 260 dollars. Cringe to think what I would be paying for it today.
Explain the prolia. Doctor wanted me to do something through IV 2 years ago, forgot the name but remember reading up on it. I didn't want to do it because of side effects.

Morning all, Numbing patch didn't do anything. I have mixed feelings about the test coming up Friday.I hope they find what's wrong and hope they don't. or at least find something simple to fix. Wouldn't it be terrible if nothing shows up?
Good morning, Granny. Try not to worry, Hon. Something will show up. Things don't hurt like you hurt for no reason. It's an MRI, right? An x-ray would show bone problems. An MRI shows soft tissue damage. One or the other will be diagnostic. At least you'll know something.

Did the prolia stop osteoporosis or did it build up bone mass that you had lost?

Yea, the entyvio is over$2000 for once every 8 weeks. Last scope the Crohn's was in clinical remission (no symptoms) with microscopic activity. My goal is to get it in deep remission (no activity) for two years. Then I'm allowed to stop the medicine and do it all with diet.

Pretty sure it will show what's going on.

I have a daughter in law with Chrones. I remember her being in a lot..a lot of pain at first. She decided to do the diet. She's doing great today. She's been doing the diet for years now.
