Been reading and watching videos of the Return of Tulere Lake in California. It was once the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. In the 1890's it was drained, irritating crops in the surrounding areas. Once the lake bed was dry people started building farms all throughout the area. Every now and then the water would come back to some extent and be a nuisance but then go away. Now it has returned with a vengeance. From the videos, it looks like the lake is as big as it once was. They say it will take about two years to get back to normal but who knows. It's from melting mountain snow and atmospheric rivers that's causing it, so that could happen yearly.
