Granny's gone and done it again

Probably your heart history or your aneurysm, why they couldn't put you under, Granny. Maybe @microchick will know.

Possibly. Depends on what anesthesia they use and just how abnormal the EKG is.

I had a friend years ago who's mother had suffered a heart attack and had a bypass done. A short time later she had to have a gall bladder operation and they didn't want to use a general on her due to her heart and the time since the bypass so they used a spinal block on her to do it. She was completely awake but felt nothing.

Might also be whether or not they needed to intubate/the general health of a person's lungs.

@Granny Hatchet, I'm so sorry. Domestic abuse sucks. My mother punched and hit me, tore out my hair, gave me black eyes and too many bruises to count when she was in one of her dementia episodes. My pastor told me afterwards that it didn't matter if she was demented or not, I was a victim of domestic abuse. Its scars are more internal than external, believe me.

Cold hard fact, if Robert struck you, he is guilty of elder abuse and you need to make some changes with living arrangements because it will happen again. And it could be worse the next time.

At least he needs a psychotropic drug to control his aggressiveness for both of your sakes, Tom's also.
