Granny's gone and done it again

I'm home and have my BP down.
My CT and chest x-ray looked good. They were quite concerned about a possible stroke, could tell when the Dr. started touching my face and asking me to show my teeth. Show teeth instead of smile, interesting. I wasn't concerned about a stroke, I've worked with enough elderly people to know the signs, but the thought of a bleeder came to mind. My head! It felt like it was going to explode. I was dizzy! Shaky. Held on to Mindi. Horrible pain, and I've suffered with Migraines for years. This one was bad. I told them..no pain meds! I'm so sensitive to medication. They got to hear my story of how I just take bites of my BP when it's up and it drops way down just fine. Not this time, I was taking bigger.
As I layed there, my BP started to go down. The nurse explained something. My Occipital Migraines cause BP to go up. They start going against each other..pain..bp..pain..BP. That made sense.
The Dr. ~ I explained I had been packing to sell and looking at houses. He puts his head up and says ohhh, like that wouldn't raise BP. He had been on his way out the door when I told him all of this and then said, my husband passed away, he puts his head down walks over to me and says I'm so sorry. I say it's been 3 years. But I'm having a hard time with it still. This is the home we bought together. He says this has to be hard. He's really pulling things together now..As..am I, about this BP. I told him I'm thinking that moving will help. He says, slow down with everything. .. I've only heard that about a hundred and fifty times from the kids. So.
Slowing down now.
I took more Amlodipine before bed. BP in a good area. I went ahead and took more this morning to stay on top of it. I don't want to go through that again.
Of course he wants me to follow up with my PC to see if there's some other medication to work with. I'll go but, we've already tried. This was the best he and I could come up with.
Also, I told Austin I'm ready to take my Neuro up on Botox shots in the back neck muscles for my Occipital Neuralgia Migraines.
Getting old, no fun ey?
Ooh, Cynthia, what an ordeal! Glad your dr listened to you and got a handle on it. DH takes Amlodipine and Lisinopril to keep his under control. Yeah, age has its challenges for sure. :hugsSo glad you are not navigating it alone.

Just got a message from realtor. Finally getting photos of the home and property. Will be up for sale by this weekend.
Kids and I are excited about another home. It's actually a town how I think they're called.
I think of them as a glorified apt. living. Then I went inside! Nice. I ask, wouldn't you rather have a home? They say this is a home, plus down the road they could buy the other side. Ok. We'll see. It pretty nice, yard, mountain view. 😁 There's an open house again this Saturday for it. Who knows. Price is great.
Town house? Hope it is the one for you!

Like I said, getting older, no fun. :(
Both of us are dealing with Crohn's related issues. DH broken teeth, bone loss, joint issues are related to long term steroid use. From years ago
before biologics became available.

Like an Aunt told me, you either take the choice of taking meds so you can live and then you deal with side affects one by one or you do nothing and shorten your life Span. It seems the reason so many of us deal with these side affects is because our choice is life over death!

It's true. As long as I can feel like I can contribute in some way and be self reliable I'm tryin! This Townhouse has the laundry on the same floor I'll be on. I get the upstairs, kids are downstairs with more room. Who knows if we'll get it. The right one is out there for us.
Chrones. Uggh!! Very painful. I'm so sorry.

The housing market must be a little bit more stable then when I was looking. Everytime I asked to see a house, it already had an offer. And they were all selling higher then listing price. I found that very stressful. I wanted to look at a house and go home and talk about it but till we did that, someone Else had an offer in. But you are right. The right one is out there! I hope you find it soon so you are out from under all that stress

But, stairs Cynthia, I would be thinking about how much longer I could climb stairs.

Granny, I told DH the questions he should ask about the injection. It's quite new. The Dr is a very good Dr and I have a lot of faith that he will do what is best for DH- to the best of his knowledge.
He likened it to an oil change in a car. Hyaluronate is found naturally in knee joints and acts as a lubricant and shock absorbent (diminishing inflammation and pain). He removed the fluid that was on his knee and then added the hyaluronate with a needle. His knee was swollen and had quite a bit of fluid on it.
This will take longer for the pain to go away then with steroids. He can come back for another injection in 6 months if needed. Because it's fairly new, the side affects they are aware of are like injection site soreness. People try this if steroids are short lasting but you don't want to go for knee replacement.

You can ask your Dr about it, he may give you an injection in the shoulder.

I don't know if it's a man made substance.
