Granny's gone and done it again

I mixed up a home remedy for Rojo's bumblefoot the other day, about a week ago. It seems to be working pretty well, better than anything else I have tried so far. I started out using Neosporin then switched to Mupiricin for about three weeks, no progress. I used Prid for about a week and a half, I don't like that at all. It's really stiff and hard to use. I make a lotion/hand cream for myself out of mostly cocoa butter that I soften with something called Albolene. It's softer than petroleum jelly and liquefies on contact with skin. It comes in a tub. Actors use it for removing stage makeup, it's much gentler than say Nutrogena. Anyway I took some of this ointment and mixed in some activated charcoal, which is very "drawing" and will pull out infection better than anything. I've been putting this on his foor every other day for about a week and tonight was able to peel away some of the bumble scab for the first time. He was a little tender so I didn't take much, and it was kind of raw underneath but didn't actively bleed. I packed it with this salve again and wrapped it like I've been doing and we'll see how it looks in two days. I didn't think to take a picture.
I had to cut open the foot on a friend's rooster. It was very bad. Had a core in the middle of it.

If you want an easy way to peel eggs. Even fresh ones peel easy. Put the hard boiled egg inside a jar. Shake it around so the egg shell is all cracked (not so hard that the egg breaks up, but hard enough so the shell cracks in small pieces on all sides) Take the egg out and the membrane under the shell will slide off, taking the shell off. It usually slides off in one piece
Thanks!!!

I always cut my bird's bumble foot infection. Put a towel over their head and they don't flinch the whole time. I don't understand that, but got it done pretty quick, with my Scotts help.

Good Morning Granny Land. Going to be a nice day here. High of 78° today and a low of 61° tonight. Meanwhile we will finish the cold frame over the banana trees today I hope.
Good morning Larry.
Was woken with Jane crying. I can hear Ashton coughing but nothing like morning's have been. Fell asleep on the couch. I do that often lately.
Our weather..23 now. High of 46. Rain starting tonight and going through the night. With a low of 35 that means snow in the mountains. :)

I do this with a glass by holding my hand over the top..I do dip them in ice water first.

Morning all, So much pain today. Very rough night. I did end up taking Toms meds. from him. I didn't ask him or say anything about them. I just went over there and took them. I sat them next to me and he was not a happy camper. When he got them at 8am He said something like Its only 2 days late.
I canceled Roberts appt. for this Fri. They changed it to Dec. 11th. I'm gonna be in the same boat Im in now. I have to either find a sitter for Tom or drag him along with us.
