Reading some of the latest posts I can not make out the theme of this granny post.
What is the theme?

We talk about many things. Most of us are old folks, so we comfort our friends with their maladies. Sometimes getting it off your chest helps. We post recipes. Post photos. Real nice group of folks. Oh, and we talk about our livestock, pets, and gardening.

I always supplemented light. Some say it lessons the years of laying. Not sure.

Well they are born with a set number that they will lay. I would rather they lay them sooner, in case something happens to them.

We had a few tense moments today after hearing about the school shooting in Madtown (as Wisconsin natives call it) as our great nephew attends a private religious school there. Texted SIL and said, pls tell us he is Okay. She replied immediately and said, yes, fine. Different school. Still feel really bad for those grieving tonight and those injured.

It got up to 50 here today. Sunny. December in Missouri? Not normally but makes me wonder what January is going to be like. Have two months worth of food and feed stocked up.....just incase. The chickens were just overjoyed to get out of the coop for the day even if it meant wading around in mud.

AND! Got my Christmas cards done and in the mail box! YIPPEEEE! So proud of me. And I only have one more batch of Christmas Cookies to bake. Maybe tomorrow....or Wednesday.

That's my first name. Not done cards, not done shopping, have not decorated, my bedroom looks like a tornado hit.

Can your critters tell time? I'm up at 6:30 almost every morning to feed the dogs. Think I get to sleep in till 7 on Sundays? No way! Jenny's licking my hand, jumping her front feet on the bed, everything but tap dancing on my forehead at 6:15 to make sure I'm on my feet by 6:30, and Sammy starts barking on the dot of 6:30 if my feet have not hit the floor by then!

Trzuskawka was my Grandmother's maiden name. Polish, and with gypsy blood.

Chocolate is sacred.

Yeah it sux. When they found his killer dead a year later they were able to match up the ballistics. Guy was an illegal and a drug dealer. Nephew had just got his doctorate in computer science. They say it was a random robbery. He was always funny and thoughtful. I still miss him.

How sad. I am sorry by such a senseless death.
