Can you believe they charged 10K for this riding chair here? I cant even get it in the van at 350 lbs.Saw on the news that the drug industry is raising prices on 250 different medications after the first.

I'm sure it's nice but sounds like price gouging. Can you believe they charged 10K for this riding chair here? I cant even get it in the van at 350 lbs.
It's not all that. Between this one and an old one the only difference I see is that this one will recline. Stupid featureI'm sure it's nice but sounds like price gouging.
You need to talk to the social worker or discharge planner to see what your insurance will pay. it is her job to be sure Tom has what he needs at home. Medicare or Medicaid should pay for an Aide to come to your house twice a week to bath him. Even if Tom wont eat the meals you can eat them. You need to be taking care of yourself too. You need to go to the doctor about the sore on your behind. If it's bleeding it is open and can easily get infected. There are products designed to treat the sores. You probably qualify for home health nurse to come out and treat the sore once or twice a week. Sorry for the rant, but I worry about you!I think between Medicare and Medicaid they will pay for what's needed for Tom as long as the Drs. are insisting that's what he has to have.
