well it's a quarter after 11 here and I think the dogs and I are headed to bed.

Anyone with Netflix there's a new show "The Six Triple Eight" about an all black woman's unit/division/group during WWII who were put in charge of the mail , VERY interesting/good and a true story.
Saw it, loved it!
 
Almost impossible. The breed is known for not being broody. She is almost two years old and hasn't been laying since the days got short.
Polish are nearly impossible to bring into broodiness. However, I have had some hatch chicks. They are generally crappy mothers though. Usually only older polish hens go broody.
 
When closing up the coops tonight one of my two Ancona hens turned up missing. I stayed out until it was dark and she didn't come back to the coop. She was completely normal when I turned the girls out after lunch. I was working near the coop all afternoon and saw nothing out of the ordinary.
Foxes will just snatch them and run. They are bold, even hunting in daylight.
