Granny's gone and done it again

It's an apron. I almost always wear one partly bc I cook a lot and also bc I like having pockets! Since I use a cane that ties up my right hand meaning I can't use both hands to carry things. So I need pockets! This particular one was made by SourRose's mom, I had her make several for me. I asked her to put an extra pocket in the upper bib part for my phone, so I could put eggs in the two lower pockets. Tomorrow I will post pics of them. I really like them!
This, is an eggsalant idea. Pun intended but really, I may start wearing them! I have to use a cane at times.

I just ate something I haven't had in a very long time. Chocolate ice cream. It didn't taste good and texture was way off. Thick almost slimy foam flavor. Wonder if the COVID from a month ago has anything to do with that? Lots of things just don't have flavor
Could be!

We have to take Young Sir back to the academy tomorrow. ALL the way back to Centralia, the bus is not running to St Louis. We'll be leaving here about 8 am and getting home about 9 pm. Gah, I'm glad this is our last year to do this! I'm also glad we have GC to take care of the critters while we're gone. Don't know what we'd do without her.

Speaking of YS, I had him replace the guts in the upstairs toidy. A hose had been coming loose on occasion and squirting water across the bathroom. Took him a while but he got 'er done. Good practice for a Future Homeowner of America. He'll thank me some day.

I love that! I wish someone had taken me under their wings and taught me. My dad did after I was 30

I've always believed it's my business to put myself out of work, to teach my kids as much as possible to make them independent. I'm not raising babies, I'm trying to raise responsible adults. How else are they going to support me in my old age? :old:lau

Good evening Granny Land. The sun is down and there is a little light from the sky. Black dark in another few minutes. For the south it is going to be another frigid night. Got a few things done today. I got the heating map for the seeding table in place under 4 trays that have 288 cells for seeding. 24 have cabbage that are up and growing. Tomorrow I'll go through the seed box and find the collard seed and plant 30 more of them. They freeze well for later use.
Do you start onions from seed? Mom used to start then in January. Then we would cut the tops off and use them as Green onions. Cutting the tops off encouraged the growth to go in the bulbs.
