Granny's gone and done it again

Howdys all, I got plenty sleep last night and today. Felt good.
Shrek, depending on what's in it maybe you can give the chicken to Brewster??
I thought about that but I put taco seasoning on it and now mayonnaise so I think that’s a no go. Too salty and spicy as well as fatty for him with the seasoning and the mayonnaise. Unfortunately. 😭😭😭😭😭

If it takes weeks to get an appointment with your vet for an animal in distress....you need a new vet. IMHO. Our vet does labs for Remadyl but only once a year. I can understand that. It's tough on their livers. I tend to use aspirin a lot, 81mg for small animals and chickens and 325 milligrams for our medium sized cattle dogs and the border collie mixes. I don't overdose and don't let them have it too many days in concession but it works as well as the Remadyl.

We also keep Fish or Bird antibiotics on hand for emergency use until we can get them to a vet. It's simple to find the dosages on line and DH titrates them out for home use. Vet often tells us to use what we have on hand if we want and we do. Living out in the middle of nowhere with animals that like to get themselves hurt during non business hours makes one self sufficient.

Cooking for two is hard. I always seem to have some left overs. I usually reheat things once then it gets tossed in with the dog food. Nothing goes to waste. Meat is the same although I tend to go by the 5 day rule myself as long as it has been refrigerated and not left out on the counter for any length of time. Food is jus too danged expensive anymore not to get your money's worth out of it.
Exactly. I don’t want to waste it. But even so, that gives me exactly one more day to eat two entire chicken breasts by myself… not gonna happen. I’ll just toss it.

I use canned cat food. We have it on hand and the dogs love it. We tell them it's made up with real ground up cats.:lau Oh, it's a joke! Not really but seriously, I use a teaspoon, load it with cat food, stick the pill in the middle of it and give it to them then follow up really fast with another bite. They are so intent on that second bite that they swallow the first one down real fast to get to the next one. Voila! Pill down!
Thank you! She hides her pain well until she starts shaking and hiding in a corner and by then I think she doesn't want to take anything by mouth because of the pain. Before the shaking, she doesn't limp, doesn't sit around. Acts normal. I suspect pain if it's nap time and she isn't sleeping or if she's unusually restless in bed.

Put it in a colander and rinse it under hot water till all the mayo and seasonings are gone.

I don't think a little chili flavor would hurt dogs. Cayenne pepper is okay for dogs in small amounts. I imagine if you rinse it long enough to get it all off it would be okay for them as a training treat.
