Granny's gone and done it again

How is your DH
He's feeling better but gets fatigued easily. He will have the accordion vacuum drain tube another two weeks. Then a CT scan and a visit with the colorectal surgical group again. They injected dye into the abscess to make sure it's not being fed by a fistula/intestines. Hopefully the abscess will go away. They showed me how to do the flushing and wound care and I'm supposed to keep track how much it drains. Right now they will just watch the pancreas as long as the cysts don't grow.

Urine Dr. wanted me to cath Tom 4xs a day years ago. I told him no!

It is a suction tube. The abscess fluid gets caught in the suction cup and I press it to release it into the bag. It has a lid that I loosen to empty it. The syringe to flush it screws onto the valve. It's all closed so there is no chance of bacteria getting in. Syringes are prefilled. Both the abcess and tube get flushed. I just wonder how long it can go on draining like this. It's been in almost two weeks.

Took my meds and was enjoying a dinner til I got choked. I just stopped eating then. That's frustrating.
@Cynthia12 Did your DH replace words? Like, today Tom said he had a mobile and he was talking about what was in his walker storage area. No one else would of known what he was talking about but because he just checked to see how much ice he had in his cup I knew he meant a sprite. He has been doing this for a couple weeks now
