So one of my renter's also named Scott but since he is younger I call him junior. Who bought my 2 male pups from the last litter had in "interesting" experience last night about 2 am. He took the dogs out to potty and hears and owl hooting, next thing he knows a Great Horned Owl swooped down and tried to carry off Milo. Keep in mind this a year and 1/2 grown male springer. The owl managed to latch both feet into the dog and then got "Nijina kicked" (his words) and left the dog. Milo just ended up with shallowish puncture wounds.

Tom wasn't acting good at all today and because Dr. was gone for the day I wrote on my chart for an appt. where I discovered he had an appt. yesterday. First time in my life Ive forgotten something like that.

That's nuts! It must be starving to try that! They are easy infected by stuff like that. nails carry a ton of germs

I got to court and the "tenant" didn't show up so I WON" good news right.

BUT WAIT there's more

I start filling out the rest of the paperwork for the judge to sign off on the judgement. NO record of said tenant being served notice of the court date. OMG. Nothing in the court's computer system. I hadn't received anything either but the last time it got the "official notice of service" after the case was settled as well. HUM SO off I go up to the Sherriff's dept to find out what's up. "oh the paperwork is still here and he's not around to ask why. FUME !!!!

Back to the courthouse to see what I/we do now. Clerk "OH I don't know, I'll have to ask the judge BUT he's still in court with another session. By this time I am having visions of having to pay yet another $160.00 for a new hearing. Clerk say's "I'll give you a call when I find out"

So because she didn't get notice the judges ruling wont hold up?

Clerk calls and say's we will have to have another hearing and sets a date of Nov 5 at 3 pm. So I have to go to back to the courthouse to get the amended information but give her an hour to get all the paperwork done and for me to call the sherrif and have them hold the paperwork that they have. Then back up to the Sherriff's department though road construction for the second time today with a "coversheet" because "they" are now too lazy/stupid to look at the paperwork for delivery addresses for both the plaintiff and the defendant.

SO thanks to the "law or lack there of enforcement" the deadbeat will get at least 3 more weeks of free rent. Which I could add to the suit IF I want to file an amendment. HECK no I'm not going to get any money out him in the first place and NOT going to waste any more time or brain cells on this CRAP.

If you do have to go back that sheriff needs to come up w/ the $160. and not the tax payers.
